Women's Track & Field Wins Wheaton Invite With 12 Top-2 Finishes

WHEATON -- The University of Chicago women's track and field team earned a first-place finish at the Wheaton 'Don Church' Twilight Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Maroons took home five event titles and 12 top-2 finishes in the meet.

WHEATON -- The University of Chicago women's track and field team earned a first-place finish at the Wheaton 'Don Church' Twilight Invitational on Saturday afternoon. The Maroons took home five event titles and 12 top-two finishes in the meet.

Katrina Bauer put up the top performance of the meet for the Maroons with the freshman winning the Triple Jump with a career-best mark of 10.98 meters which ranks as the seventh-best by a UChicago freshman in program history.

Yichen Ding added the other field event title for the Maroons as she won the Javelin Throw with a mark of 33.52 meters.

Nora Holmes and

Emma Kelly brought home the track titles in the meet for UChicago. Holmes won the 1500m Run with a time of 4:45.11, and Kelly won the 800m Run with a time of 2:17.95.

The 4x400m Relay team of

Lauren Moskal,

Camila Garanton,

Olivia Resnick, and Kelly brought home the final title of the meet, winning the event with a time of 4:09.20.

The Maroons will return to action next weekend as they travel to Cleveland for the 2026 UAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships on April 25-26.
