A preview of the Case Western Reserve University varsity athletic events for the 11th week of the spring season (May 11-17) and a recap of the events from the previous week (May 4-10). Schedule is subject to change with updates posted on athletics.case.edu when they are known.

Last Week's Recap

#5 Men's Tennis (2-0)

• Advanced to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Quarterfinal with a pair of wins in Cleveland last weekend

• Defeated Ohio Northern 4-1 in the Second Round at the Medical Mutual Tennis Pavilion on Saturday

• Won 4-0 over 13th-ranked Mary Washington on Sunday at the Carlton Courts

Softball (3-0, 3-0 UAA)

• Won all three games against Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh on Friday and Saturday

• Defeated the Tartans 8-4 on Friday afternoon, won 7-1 in the first game of a doubleheader on Saturday, before coming behind for a 5-4 victory in the series finale

• First-year catcher Sophia Becker had four extra base hits in eight at-bats, doubling three times and hitting a home run across the three games

#15 Women's Tennis (1-1)

• Defeated Albright 4-0 in the First Round of the NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championship in Baltimore on Friday afternoon

• Lost 4-1 to 10th-ranked Carnegie Mellon in the Second Round on Saturday, winning the doubles point before dropping four singles matches

• Senior Ellior Rose won all three of her decisions, going 2-0 at second doubles and 1-0 at fifth singles. She did not lose a point against Albright, winning 6-0 at doubles with Katie Wong and 6-0, 6-0 at singles

Men's and Women's Track & Field

• Senior Arianna Holbrook set the program record for the 800-meter run at the Harrison Dillard Twilight in Berea, Ohio, on Friday, finishing the race in 2:14.45

• Sophomore Donovan Crowley ran a person-best time in the 1,500-meter run, completing the race in 3:51.42, the 43rd-best time in Division III this season
