Isaac Beers Named Second Team All-Ivy

PRINCETON, N.J. – Following the completion of the 2026 Men's Swimming and Diving Ivy League Championships last weekend, Isaac Beers and Zion James received recognition from the Ivy League.

Zion James tabbed Academic All-Ivy

Beers was named Second Team All-Ivy in both the 100 and 200 backstroke. He won silver medals in both events, the first of which came on Friday in the 100 back with a time of 45.89. He also set a program record earlier in the day in prelims at 45.74. Then on Saturday, Beers continued to dominate, winning another silver medal in the 200 back with another program record time of 1:40.58.

In addition, James was named to the Academic All-Ivy Team. While excelling in the classroom so far this year, James also had an impressive showing at Ivies. Individually, James' top finish was fifth in the 100 free with a time of 42.96. He would go on to set a record in the 100 free with his split of 42.63 in the 400 free relay, contributing to a program record at 2:51.94. He was also part of the 400 medley relay squad that won bronze, and 200 free relay team that set a new program record at 1:17.41

Up next for Columbia will be the NCAA Zone Diving Championships beginning on March 9.
