Men’s Golf Set for Princeton Invitational

The Crimson will see how it stacks up against the rest of the Ivy League this weekend in the team's final tune up before the conference championship tournament at the end of the month. All seven Ivies will send teams to the tournament this weekend, which will be played at the Springdale Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Harvard men's golf team will continue its Spring season this weekend with a trip to New Jersey to compete in the 2026 Princeton Invitational. The Crimson will see how it stacks up against the rest of the Ivy League this weekend in the team's final tune up before the conference championship tournament at the end of the month. All seven Ivies will send teams to the tournament this weekend, which will be played at the Springdale Golf Club on Saturday and Sunday.

WHAT TO KNOW

  • Harvard will compete in the Princeton Invitational for the ninth consecutive season and will make its 16th overall appearance in the tournament.

  • The Crimson has won the tournament twice and finished in the top two five times in its 16 appearances.

  • Last season, Harvard tied for eighth place in the field during a weather shortened event. William Ma's tournament score of six-over-par was a team-best and was good for 25th place.

  • Harvard last competed at the 2026 Cutter Creek Intercollegiate, where it finished fourth overall in a field of 14 teams.

  • Barry Zhang, William Ma and Isaac Ahn each came in among the top 20, with Zhang's 13th place finish and +1 tournament score leading the way.

  • Ma finished T16, Ahn finished T20 and Morgan Riley also earned a top 25 finish, coming in T24.

  • The Crimson found its stride as the fall season wound down, wrapping up its final tournament of 2025 with a second-place finish at the Georgetown Intercollegiate in Westfield, N.J.

  • In its first-ever trip to the Georgetown Intercollegiate, Harvard got off to a strong start after posting a team score of 302 (+18) in the opening round, thanks to strong rounds from Reese Jensen (71), Ieuan Jones (75), and Isaac Ahn (76).

  • In the final round, Harvard secured the second-place finish after posting a team score of 295 (+11).

NOTES

  • Harvard posted the third most birdies (52) and pars (199) at Cutter Creek.

  • The Crimson also posted the T3-fewest bogeys in the field (61).

  • Barry Zhang's 12 birdies were tied for the fifth-most by an individual in the field at Cutter Creek.

  • Isaac Ahn's 36 pars were tied for the ninth-most individually.

  • Ieuan Jones (72.2) and Barry Zhang (72.7) own the best scoring averages on the team this season.

NEXT UP

The Crimson returns to action at the end of the month when it competes in the 2026 Ivy League Championship Tournament. Harvard will compete against the other schools in the Ancient Eight at the famous Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey. The tournament will take place Friday-Sunday (Apr. 24-26).
