Eight from Intercollegiate Sailing Earn ICSA All-Academic Honors

The Navy intercollegiate sailing team had eight student-athletes named to the 2025-2026 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association's All-Academic Team, the ICSA announced Monday.

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – The Navy intercollegiate sailing team had eight student-athletes named to the 2025-2026 Inter-Collegiate Sailing Association's All-Academic Team, the ICSA announced Monday.

Earning ICSA All-Academic honors for the Midshipmen were seniors

Nathan Smith and

Jack Welburn along with juniors

Henry Allgeier,

Fiona Cullen,

Spencer Dominguez,

Mary Dwyer,

Josie Sherry and

Kate Zurinskas.

"These Midshipmen all played a huge role on our team this season while maintaining excellence in the classroom," said head coach

Ian Burman. "It is truly impressive how they were able to find such great success on the water and in the classroom.'

This continues a busy awards season for Smith, Welburn, Allgeier and Cullen, as all four earned All-MAISA honors last month.

The ICSA All-Academic Sailing Team recognizes juniors and seniors who have participated as a competitor or alternate in seven regattas in 2025-26 and have a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
