UAA Selects 12 for Spring All-Academic Honors

12 members of the University of Rochester's three spring, University Athletic Association (UAA) sports teams: men's and women's tennis and men's golf, received UAA All-Academic honors, as announced by the conference on Thursday.

12 members of the University of Rochester's three spring, University Athletic Association (UAA) sports teams: men's and women's tennis and men's golf, received UAA All-Academic honors, as announced by the conference on Thursday.

All-Academic recognition is awarded to student-athletes who have completed at least one full year of college study at their current UAA institution and who carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.500, equivalent to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) academic threshold for Academic All-District and Academic All-America honors.

Overall, 634 individuals from across the eight UAA institutions met the criteria, representing approximately 72 percent of the total eligible student-athletes. Percentages among sports varied as well, with a high of 76.6 percent of eligible tennis student-athletes receiving All-Academic recognition.

Rochester men's had six honorees, while women's tennis and men's golf each had three.
