Two Earn Honors As All-Ivy Sailing Team Is Named
ITHACA, N.Y. -- A pair of seniors earned honors when the All-Ivy League sailing team was announced on Tuesday afternoon, with Sophia Mulvania capturing second-team honors and Sophia Devling being named to the Academic All-Ivy team. The duo will lead the Big Red into fleet race nationals later this month in Tampa, Fla.

Sophia Devling being named to the Academic All-Ivy team. The duo will lead the Big Red into fleet race nationals later this month in Tampa, Fla.
A first-team All-Ivy League selection a year ago, Mulvania captured first-team All-MAISA crew honors this past season. She was part of the rotation that led Cornell to the MAISA Women's Team Race Championship with a perfect 16-0 record and a member of the squad that placed fifth at the ACC Women's Championship. She crewed A division as the Big Red finished runner-up at the MAISA Women's Fall Dinghy Championship and competed at the ICSA Women's Team Racing National Championship, helping Cornell to an eighth-place finish.
Devling, the 2026 MAISA Sailor of the Year, was a first-team All-MAISA women's skipper. She sailed B division as the Big Red captured the MAISA Spring Women's Fleet Race Championship and was part of the rotation that led Cornell to the MAISA Women's Team Race Championship with a perfect 16-0 record. Devling skippered A division as Cornell claimed runner-up honors at the MAISA Women's Fall Dinghy Championship and competed at the ICSA Women's Team Racing National Championship, helping the Big Red to an eighth-place finish. She will earn her degree later this spring in Operations Research and Engineering.
