PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Brown softball's Macy Borowski, Abby Bettencourt and Jasmine Hsiao earned All-Ivy honors, the league announced on Wednesday (May 6).
Borowski earned Second Team All-Ivy honors with Bettencourt and Hsiao both named Honorable Mention All-Ivy. Lily Berlinger earned Acadmic All-Ivy Honors.
Borowski earned her first-career All-Ivy honor being one of the best for Brown both in the circle and at the plate, being named Second Team All-Ivy pitcher/utility. In the circle, Borowski led the Ivy League in innings pitched (142.2) and strikeouts (137). The junior also finished third in the league in wins (11) and opposing batting average (.256), while posting the sixth-best ERA (3.34). During league play, Borowski was second strikeouts (77) and third in wins (6), while also picking up two saves.
At the plate, Borowski finished the season second on the team with a .330 batting average. Borowski was tied for the team lead with four home runs and was second on the team with 23 RBI and seven doubles. During league play, Borowski upped her average to a team-best .373, and collected three doubles, three home runs and 17 RBI.
Bettencourt was named All-Ivy for the first time in her career while leading the Bears on the season with a .340 batting average. Bettencourt led Brown with 26 RBI and was tied for the team lead with four home runs. In league play, Bettencourt upped her average to .371, leading the team in hits, doubles, RBI and tying for the team lead in home runs.
Hsiao earned her fourth-straight Honorable Mention honor after finishing the season with a .260 batting average, 27 hits, four doubles, four home runs and 15 RBI. During league play, Hsiao pushed her average to .314, picking up 16 hits, two doubles, three home runs and nine RBI.
