Mules Deliver Strong Performances at Williams FIRE
Williamstown, Mass. — The Colby College track & field teams traveled to the Williams College FIRE this weekend, recording several season-best marks and a relay victory against a competitive regional field.
Williamstown, Mass. — The Colby College track & field teams traveled to the Williams College FIRE this weekend, recording several season-best marks and a relay victory against a competitive regional field.
The women were led by distance and middle-distance efforts from
Ada Grant and Maddie Bush. Grant competed in a deep field in the 5,000 meters, finishing with a time of 17:57.37 to take 22nd place. In the 800 meters, Bush also secured a 21st-place finish, crossing the line in 2:23.41.
The men's side was highlighted by a victory in the 4x400-meter relay, where the quartet of Sam Graubart,
Mark Graubart,
Jackson Coelho, and
Levi Biery took first place with a time of 3:11.62. In the field,
Lexington Lehnert earned a runner-up finish in the pole vault by clearing a height of 4.72 meters. On the track,
Stephen White cracked the top ten in the 5,000 meters with a ninth-place finish in 14:32.99, while
Henry Reichle added a 12th-place performance in the 1,500 meters, clocking in at 3:51.87.
The team will next be competing in the AARTFC Championships on Wednesday, May 13 at Collegeville, Pa.
