**PRINCETON, NJ. –**Despite a game-high 18 points from junior

Dalen Davis, the Princeton University men's basketball team could not hold inside Jadwin Gymnasium Friday night and fell to Harvard, 58-56.

In addition to his game-high 18 points, Davis added four rebounds. Davis also made two three-pointers, which moved him up to No. 26 on the Tigers' all-time list with 110 in his career. Junior

Led by a Hicke three-pointer, the Tigers opened the game with an 8-0 run. A short jumper by Davis with 14:38 on the clock extended Princeton's advantage to 13-5, then consecutive baskets by freshman

Sebastian Whitfieldsaw the Tigers go up double figures with 5:21 on the clock, 23-13.

A Seals layup with 3:06 remaining in the half put Princeton ahead 29-19, before a layup by Seals at 0:33 saw the Tigers go into halftime with a 33-21 lead.

Princeton opened the second half with a Hicke layup followed by a Davis three-pointer and surged ahead, 38-21, with 18:48 left to play. A three-pointer by Seals gave the Tigers a 14-point advantage, 41-27, with 16:28 remaining.

Harvard gained momentum as the second half went; with 9:21 left to play, a 12-0 run by the Crimson saw Harvard take a 50-47 lead with 6:05 remaining. A Davis layup followed by a Hicke three-pointer put Princeton back in front with 2:43 on the clock, 54-52. With the score tied 56-56, a short jumper by Harvard's Robert Hinton put the Crimson ahead 58-56. A final second heave by Hicke just barely missed, giving Harvard the 58-56 victory.
