FULL NCAA TOURNAMENT BRACKET

CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago baseball team earned the #21 overall seed and will travel to Washington, Pennsylvania for the first Regional rounds of the NCAA Division III Tournament.

The Maroons will compete in the double-elimination Regional tournament from Friday to Sunday as the field reduces from 64 teams to 16 heading into the Super Regional round of the tournament.

The opening round of the tournament will see #9 Bridgewater (VA) will battle Scranton on Friday in the first game at 11 AM ET. Then, (RV) UChicago take on the hosts, (RV) Washington & Jefferson, on Friday at 2:30 PM ET in the second game of the day. The rest of the double-elimination tournament will take place on Saturday and Sunday.

The University of Chicago baseball team enters the NCAA Tournament with a program-best 27 wins and 13 losses. The Maroons also won their first UAA title in program history and the first conference title in 117 years, dating back to the Western Conference (now the Big 10) title in 1909.

The Maroons will be making their second-ever appearance in the NCAA Tournament after breaking the program record with 27 wins this season. UChicago reached the "if necessary" game of the Regional Final in their first-ever tournament appearance last season.
