PRINCETON, N.J. – The Dartmouth softball team closed out its season on Sunday against Princeton, using a big third inning and a complete-game effort in the circle to earn a 5-3 victory over the Tigers.

Dartmouth improved to 10-23 overall and 7-13 in Ivy League play, while Princeton fell to 30-13 (18-3 Ivy).

The Big Green broke through in the top of the third inning, plating four runs on four hits to take control of the game. After Justice Malone singled to start the rally, Faby Serna delivered an RBI double down the left field line to tie the score. Lauren Ben-Ezra followed with a single, setting the stage for Olivia Schramm, who launched a three-run home run to left field to give Dartmouth a 4-1 lead.

Princeton responded in the bottom half of the inning with two runs, highlighted by a two-RBI single, cutting the deficit to 4-3. The Big Green added an insurance run in the fifth inning when Schramm came through again, this time with an RBI double to score Ashley Frantz and extend the lead to 5-3.

In the circle, Anna Fagan tossed a complete game to earn the win, allowing three runs on 11 hits while striking out two. She worked out of several jams and shut down the Tigers over the final four innings to secure the victory.

Offensively, Schramm led the way with two hits and four RBIs, including the decisive three-run homer. Ben-Ezra and Malone each recorded two hits, while Serna added an RBI double as part of Dartmouth's nine-hit performance.
