Brigid Duffy Makes History Being Named Tewaaraton Award Finalist
WASHINGTON – Army West Point women's lacrosse senior Brigid Duffy has made history being named a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Tuesday evening. Duffy is the first ever women's finalist and the second ever across both the men's and women's programs to achieve this honor.

WASHINGTON – Army West Point women's lacrosse senior Brigid Duffy has made history being named a finalist for the Tewaaraton Award as announced by the Tewaaraton Foundation on Tuesday evening. Duffy is the first ever women's finalist and the fifth ever across both the men's and women's programs to achieve this honor.
The Tewaaraton Award is recognized as the preeminent lacrosse award, annually honoring the top male and female college lacrosse player in the United States. The selection committees are composed of premier college coaches and are appointed annually by the Tewaaraton Foundation. Duffy will now be invited to 2026 Tewaaraton Award Ceremony presented by Stifel in Washington, D.C., at Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium on Thursday May 28.
Duffy currently has 70 goals; 28 assists and 98 points going into the NCAA Tournament and lead the Black Knights in goals and ranks second the Patriot League. She also ranks first in the conference in caused turnovers with 46 and ranks first in goals per game at 3.89.Nationally, she is the third highest active goal scorer in Division I lacrosse and one of two active players with 350+ points. The Queensbury, N.Y. native, ranks fifth in goals per game and fourth in shots per game. In total goals, Brigid Duffy ranks sixth in country and ninth in total points.
Duffy and her teammates will look ahead to the NCAA Tournament First Round, matching up with Fairfield on Friday at 6 p.m. from Baltimore, Md.
