PRINCETON, N.J. - No. 7 Brown Women's Crew began its spring season at No. 6 Princeton, with a victory for the A4. The Tigers retained The Class of 1987 Trophy at Lake Carnegie.

An exciting start to the spring regatta season, Brown saw close races and a victory for the A4. Coxed by Brooke Halvorsen and stroked by Sydney Chait-Walter, the A4 finished with a time of 8:03.4.

The 1V8 (7:22.8), 2V8 (7:23.8), and 3V8 (7:45.7) rowing against powerful winds, fought competitive races. All three finished second to Princeton by six to seven seconds. Brown's B4 (8:47.7), the final race of Saturday morning, finished nine seconds behind Princeton.

Brown will host Dartmouth on Saturday, April 4 on the Seekonk. Action begins at 9:40 a.m.
