Softball Opens NCAA Tournament Play Thursday Against Moravian
BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College softball team will open play at the NCAA Division III Tournament on Thursday at Moravian (Pa.) College in Bethlehem, Pa. The Polar Bears, who are making their first appearance in the tournament since 2010, will play in a four-team, double-elimination regional, opening at 1:00 p.m. against the host school, Moravian.
Colby Headed North for Four-Team NCAA Regional Hosted by Husson
Waterville, Maine — The Colby College Softball team begins its first NCAA Division III tournament run in program history this week as they travel to Bangor for the regional round. The Mules will face MIT in the opening game of the four-team, double-elimination pod hosted by Husson University.
Three Bantams Earn Softball All-Conference Status
HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College softball team had three Bantams earn New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference honors. Senior center fielder Abby Alper earned First Team honors, while junior third baseman Emily Goddard and catcher/first baseman Makenna True were named to the Second Team. Alper became the 22nd player in program history to earn First Team All-Conference honors, while Goddard became the 33rd and True the 34th player in program history to receive Second Team All-Conference recognition.
Leppard Earns All-NESCAC First Team Honors
HADLEY, MA – Sophomore utility player Lulu Leppard (Nashua, N.H.) of the Amherst softball team was named to the All-NESCAC First Team, the conference announced earlier today.
