Bulldogs Pick Up Doubleheader Sweep of Cornell

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Yale baseball team earned a doubleheader road sweep of Cornell on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs topped the Big Red 16-5 in game one, before prevailing 6-3 in the second game of the twin bill.

ITHACA, N.Y. – The Yale baseball team earned a doubleheader road sweep of Cornell on Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs topped the Big Red 16-5 in game one, before prevailing 6-3 in the second game of the twin bill.

The Bulldogs dropped the opening game of the three-game set on Friday, but rebounded in a big way on Saturday to earn the series win. With the victories, Yale improved to 22-11 overall with an 11-4 mark in Ivy League play. Yale currently sits in first place in the conference standings with six league games left to play. Cornell dropped to 7-23 overall with a 5-10 record in Ivy League games.

Game 1 – Yale 16, Cornell 5

Key Performers

• Junior Kaiden Dossa reached base three times, scoring three runs. He also drove in three.

• Sophomore Jack Dauer went 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

• Junior Ben Winslow earned his first save of the season, tossing three scoreless innings to close out the victory.
