Ferguson Awarded Field Athlete of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Sophomore Jaden Ferguson was named the Patriot League Men's Field Athlete of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday afternoon. This is the first weekly Patriot League award of his career.

Ferguson won both field events he competed in in Lehigh's dual meet against Lafayette. He set a personal record to win the high jump, clearing the 2.07 meter bar for the first time ever. That mark improved on his seventh all-time mark for Lehigh by one centimeter, and ranks him first in the Patriot League in the event this season. He also won the long jump, soaring a season's best 7.14 meters, which puts him seventh in the Patriot League in the event this season. He was a member of Lehigh's second-place 4x100 meter team as well.

Ferguson will next compete in Lehigh's final team competition at the Patriot League Championships, hosted by Navy in Annapolis, Md. May 15-16.
