Lehigh Ties For Fourth at ABARTA Collegiate Invitational
In its final tournament before next week's Patriot League Championship, Lehigh tied for fourth place out of 15 teams at Lafayette's ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational, which wrapped up Monday at Northampton Country Club. The Mountain Hawks finished the 36-hole event at 589, shooting 293 Sunday and 296 Monday.

EASTON, Pa. – In its final tournament before next week's Patriot League Championship, Lehigh tied for fourth place out of 15 teams at Lafayette's ABARTA Coca-Cola Collegiate Invitational, which wrapped up Monday at Northampton Country Club. The Mountain Hawks finished the 36-hole event at 589, shooting 293 Sunday and 296 Monday.
Lehigh's top four finishers were all separated by just one stroke. Junior Matthew Quinn led the way at three over par 147 (73-74), tying for 14th place. Quinn's final round included four birdies.
One stroke behind Quinn was senior Jake Roth, who tied for 19th place at 148 (75-73). Roth's 73 Monday tied the low round of the day for Lehigh. He carded a pair of birdies on Monday.
Senior Aiden LeBlanc tied for 25th place at 149 (73-76). LeBlanc matched Quinn with four birdies in his final round.
First-year Ryan Cronin, the low Mountain Hawk on Sunday, tied for 32nd place at 150 (72-78). Cronin made one birdie and was one under par Monday through nine holes before running into trouble on the back nine.
Senior Will Caronchi shot 153 (80-73) and tied for 48th place. Caronchi birdied four of his first seven holes Monday, matching Roth for Lehigh's low round of the day.
Sophomore Noah Zyung shot back-to-back rounds of 78, competing as an individual and tied for 71st place at 156. Zyung's final round included two birdies.
First-year Drew Golden tied for 78th place at 157 (79-78). Golden also made two birdies in his final round.
Host Lafayette shot a final round 278 to rally past Towson for the team title at 580. The Tigers finished one stroke behind, while Drexel finished third, two shots behind the Leopards.
Drexel's John Stevenson was the individual medalist at four under par 140.
Lehigh will play Lafayette in the annual Presidents Cup matches Thursday at Hamilton Farm Golf Club in New Jersey. The Patriot League Championship is Apr. 24-26 at West Point, N.Y.
