Series History | The No. 10 Colgate Raiders advance to the Patriot League quarterfinals to face No. 2 Holy Cross. Colgate lost both regular-season meetings to the Crusaders. In the first matchup on the road, the Raiders trailed 14–4 after the first quarter but battled back over the next 30 minutes to tie the game at 45 before Holy Cross pulled away in overtime, 60–50. In the second meeting in Hamilton, New York, the Crusaders built a seven-point first-quarter lead and maintained a slight edge the rest of the way to win 75–64.
Bush's Post-Season Momentum | In her first season at the helm, Shannon Bush led the Colgate Raiders to an upset over the No. 7 Bucknell Bison on Saturday at Sojka Pavilion. The win marks Bush’s first postseason victory and gives the Raiders momentum entering their next matchup.
Total Team Effort | Saturday night’s win featured key contributions on both ends of the floor for the Colgate Raiders. Ella Meabon led the offense with 24 points while shooting 50% from the field, and Madison Schiller added 11 points. Schiller also recorded a career-high six steals, while Amarah Streiff grabbed four steals and eight rebounds. Colgate set the tone early, shooting 71.4% in the first quarter.
Don't let the Raiders get HOT | The Colgate Raiders have found their rhythm late in the season against Patriot League opponents. Over the last three games, Colgate is shooting .447 from the field. The Raiders posted their second-best mark of the season in a loss to Navy Midshipmen, shooting .509 (27-of-53). Colgate followed with a .414 performance against Lafayette Leopards in the regular-season finale and shot .420 in its recent win over the Bucknell Bison.
Raiders To-Do List | For the Colgate Raiders to prevail over the Holy Cross Crusaders, they will need to limit Holy Cross’s fast-break points and second-chance opportunities. If the Raiders can control the tempo and slow the pace, it could disrupt the Crusaders’ rhythm.
