LEWISBURG, Pa. – Junior pitcher Jake Schultz was named the Patriot League Pitcher of the Week after a quality start in Bucknell's 4-0 win over Lehigh on Saturday.
Schultz threw six shutout innings, allowing just three hits to help the Bison earn a big win in game one. The Bison ultimately took two out of three games from Lehigh to earn a share of the Patriot League regular season title and the two seed for the tournament.
Schultz struck out six batters over four innings while stranding five runners as the Bison got out to a 2-0 lead. He then worked his first clean inning in the fifth before a three-up, three-down sixth inning to end his day.

He has a 2.67 ERA in nine appearances and a 2.15 ERA in eight appearances against Patriot League opponents. After beginning the season on a pitch count, Schultz has gone four innings or more in each of his last four starts. His six innings against Lehigh was a season-high.
