Amherst Men Showcase Depth and Speed at MIT

Sprint Recaps

The Mammoths showed significant depth in the short sprints. In the 100-meter dash,

Nicholas Moutsatsos was the top finisher for Amherst, crossing the line in 10.90 to take 5th place. He was followed by Ben Williams '26, who clocked an 11.40. Williams returned in the 200-meter dash to post a time of 23.64, placing 22nd in a massive field.

Middle Distance and Distance Highlights

In the 800-meter run,

Will Nagy represented the Mammoths, finishing with a time of 1:55.18. This was then followed up by

Will Reeves (6th),

Finn O'Hara (8Th), and

Andy Krasner (9th).

Field and Throws

Amir Ali had a day throwing a season best of 13.37m in shot put, finishing 5th in the competition.

Alex MacDonald threw a personal record of 45.84m in the discus throw placing second overall.

The Mammoths will look to carry this momentum into the final weeks of the regular season as they prepare for the NESCAC Championships.
