#17 Men’s Squash Concludes Campaign At CSA Championships

The #17/fifth-seeded Middlebury men's squash team wrapped its season against #19/seventh-seeded Franklin & Marshall in the Hoehn Cup consolation final, suffering a 6-3 setback.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The Diplomats earned the first four points of the affair. Aditya Chandani and Sharan Punjabi recorded sweeps at #3 and #2, while Teerth Jilka escaped a five-game bout against

Naum Lekovic at #9 (12-10, 11-7, 8-11, 8-11, 11-7). Toby Clegg-Petri won 3-1 in the fourth spot to open up a 4-0 lead.

Nico Brown picked up the first Panther win at #7, sweeping Akshat Agarwal to cut the margin to 4-1 (11-1, 11-5, 11-7).

  • F&M's Jamie Stait clinched the clash with a 3-0 win in the sixth slot.

Charlie Clifford (#8) and Caleb Boateng (#5) sandwiched a Diplomat decision at the top of the ladder with sweeps of their respective foes to finalize the 6-3 affair.

NOTES

  • The teams played for the second time this winter and 15th overall. Sunday marked the first matchup between the programs in the CSA Team Championships.

Middlebury finished the slate with a 10-10 record, earning 10 or more wins for the fourth time in as many seasons.
