Men’s Golf Finishes Seventh at NESCAC Championship

The Middlebury men's golf team posted a 313 during the final round of the NESCAC Championship to finish in seventh place with a total score of 944. Williams used a Sunday score of 290, the best third round of the field, to claim the league title with a total score of 878. Tufts (891) and Hamilton (906) rounded out the top three.

Nathan Keshen matched his single-round career low with a 75 in Sunday's third round of the NESCAC Championships.

HIGHLIGHTS

  • Jake Forrest paced the Panther contingent, shooting a 229 over the 54-hole event to share 17th place with three of his league peers.

  • Julian Galindo Macias finished 32nd with a score of 239.

  • Sharing 36th place was Evan Fulgieri. The first-year golfer sank three birdies through the first five holes on Sunday, finishing with a three-round tally of 241 to match Wesleyan's Lev Abramson.

  • Nathan Keshen sliced nine strokes off his total between the final two days of the league invite. His third-round total of 75 led Middlebury by three strokes and helped him finish 38th overall (242).

  • Rounding out the group is Charlie Schulman, who finished in 39th place at 243 (76-86-81).

NOTES

  • Fulgieri improved on his career-low three-round score by four shots.

  • Keshen's 75 on Sunday matched his lowest single round as a Panther.

Middlebury will await its NCAA Championship fate when the field is unveiled on Monday, May 4.
