#13 Women’s Golf Earns Runner-Up Finish at Spring-Opening Tournament
The #13 Middlebury women's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule on Saturday at the Hartford Blackledge Invitational. Wellesley claimed the team title in a format where the top-four scorers counted with a 304, while the Panthers finished five strokes behind for second place at 309. Wesleyan rounded out the top-three squads, firing a 311.
Daniella Honkamp finished in third place with a career-low score of 76.

Daniella Honkamp led the Panthers, ranking third individually with a score of 76. The effort was a career-best collegiate round by three shots. She tallied three birdies during the round, including twos on the par-three eighth and 11th holes.

Sharing seventh place were Season Wei and Julia Hua with identical 77s. Wei posted a birdie on the par-five seventh, while Hua logged a pair of birdies on the back nine.

The next Middlebury scorer was Ella Han, shooting a 79 to tie for 13th.

Morgan Lee was one shot out of the scoring positions with an 80 for 15th place, while Teegan Duffy earned 21st place competing as an individual with a score of 83.
