NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team Includes 151 Jumbos

MEDFORD, MA (March 18, 2026) - The 2025-26 winter sports teams at Tufts University placed 151 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Team, which was released today.

MEDFORD, MA (March 18, 2026) - The 2025-26 winter sports teams at Tufts University placed 151 student-athletes on the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Academic Team, which was released today.

Over 1,500 student-athletes have been named to the 2026 NESCAC Winter All-Academic Team. To be honored, an individual must have reached sophomore academic status, and be in good standing in their sport with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.50 or equivalent on a 4.0 scale. Transfers must have completed one year of study at an institution. The athletic departments at each institution provide lists of All-Academic honorees. The cumulative GPA on record as of the end of the Fall 2025 semester was used to determine eligibility for the honor.

Tufts' 2026 Winter All-Academic Team honorees come from men's and women's basketball, women's fencing, men's ice hockey, men's and women's squash, men's and women's swimming & diving and men's and women's indoor track & field.

Of the student-athletes to garner NESCAC All-Academic honors this winter, six student-athletes garnered All-NESCAC or an individual award, and were also named to the All-Sportsmanship and All-Academic teams including Tufts women's swimming and diving senior

Scott Gyimesi (Men's Basketball Player of the Year), Tufts senior

Madeleine Dunn (Women's Swimming & Diving Swimmer of the Year and Career High-Point Swimmer) and Tufts senior

Malia Leung (Women's Swimming & Diving Career High-Point Diver).
