MEDFORD – The Tufts University women's tennis team placed multiple student-athletes on the 2026 New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) All-Conference Teams, highlighting another strong season for the Jumbos as the conference announced its annual honors.
Leading the way for Tufts was
Lucy Mitchell, who earned First Team All-NESCAC honors in singles following an outstanding season at the top of the lineup. Competing primarily at the No. 1 position, Mitchell consistently delivered against the region's top competition, earning key victories over nationally-ranked opponents from Vassar, Johns Hopkins, and Williams. Her resilience in three-set matches and ability to compete at the highest level anchored the Jumbos throughout the spring.
In doubles play, the tandem of
Brooklyn Bindas and
Natalie Hu was named First Team All-NESCAC, recognizing their dominance as Tufts' top pair. The duo compiled an impressive conference resume, highlighted by decisive victories over nationally-ranked opponents including Bowdoin, Colby, and Amherst. Their chemistry and consistency at the No. 1 doubles position played a crucial role in securing early leads for the Jumbos in multiple matches.
Bindas and Hu were particularly strong down the stretch, earning wins in five of their final six matches, including a 6-1 victory against Amherst in postseason play. The pair demonstrated the ability to perform under pressure, with multiple wins against top-20 programs.
Tufts finished the regular season with a 12-6 overall record and a 7-3 mark in NESCAC play, earning wins over several ranked opponents and finishing the year ranked inside the top 20 nationally.
Tufts will continue postseason play on Friday, May 8 at 2:00 PM with a match at Hartwick College in the NCAA Tournament First Round at Middlebury College.
