Men's Squash Heads To Philly For 2026 CSA Team National Championships
MEDFORD, MA (March 3, 2026) -- The No. 11 Tufts University men's squash team will travel to Philadelphia and the Arlen Specter US Squash Center this weekend for the 2026 College Squash Association (CSA) National Team Championships, starting Thursday. The Jumbos will take part in the prestigious Potter Cup, and will battle No. 6 Columbia University Thursday at 10:30 AM on Court B.

A Look At The Jumbos
The Tufts University men's squash team is coming off another run through the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Tournament, finishing as the runner-up for the third straight season after falling to Trinity College 8-1 in the final.
The Jumbos have been playing well ever since the turn of the calendar, as Tufts has gone a stellar 8-3 in 2026 including a pair of wins over Williams, as well as nice wins over Navy and Middlebury.
Tufts is looking for its first-ever win at the Potter Cup, and it will be looking to a strong group of seasoned veterans to get them there. The Jumbos have leaned on No. 1
Santiago Medina Carrillo all season at the top of the lineup, as he has played No. 1 in every match for the Jumbos with a stellar 11-7 mark on the year.
Junior
Nachiket Desai has logged 15 matches at No. 2 and has gone 7-3 in his last 10 matches to help the Jumbos to that strong run. Senior
Rohan Valia has enjoyed his final season with a strong 9-9 mark, going 7-4 at No. 3 this season thanks to his superior ability to stay in rallies.
Milo Friedman has picked up six wins on the campaign, including four at the No. 4 position for the Jumbos, and senior
Jared Chin has a team-high 12 victories in 2025-26 as one of four players with double-digit victories on the year.
Mustafa Ayaz is 8-10 on the year but has gone a solid 5-4 at No. 6 during the year, and junior
Aarav Gill has been rock solid with a 10-3 mark overall which includes a nearly unblemished 8-1 mark at the No. 7 position.
Shivin Kumar and
Ali Tarek have logged most of the time at No. 8 for the Jumbos, as the pair has gone a perfect 12-0 combined at the spot.
At the No. 9 spot,
Rohan Bhatia has gone 3-0 while Ilya Kipkolov and
Rutva Samant have also played at the position during the year.
Tufts has a season win percentage of .580, winning over 60 percent of its matches at No. 1, No. 5, No. 7 and No. 8.
Other Seeds
Trinity College is the top seed in the tournament this weekend, while the University of Pennsylvania is the No. 2 seed. Harvard University is No. 3, while the University of Virginia is No. 4 and gets the last first-round bye.
Yale University is No. 5, Tufts' opponent Columbia is No. 6, followed by Drexel University, Princeton University, Dartmouth College and Cornell University to round out the top 10. Williams College is the No. 12 and lowest seed in the tournament.
Tufts has played eight matches against the this weekend's field, going 2-6 on the year with both wins against Williams. They played Columbia all the way back on the first day of the season, falling 8-1 to the Lions.

Action will start Thursday and go all the way though Sunday, with the national championship match being played at 10:30 a.m. on Court G in the Arlen Specter US Squash Center.
