Women's Track & Field 3rd at New England Division III Outdoor Championships

SPRINGFIELD, MA (May 2, 2026) – Junior Nora Jean-Jacques led the Jumbos with a runner-up finish in the triple jump on Saturday as the Tufts University women's track & field team placed third at the New England Division III Outdoor Championships at Springfield College.

Nora Jean-Jacques led the Jumbos with a runner-up finish in the triple jump on Saturday as the Tufts University women's track & field team placed third at the New England Division III Outdoor Championships at Springfield College.

Jean-Jacques had a best effort of 11.41m (37'5 ¼") in the triple jump today to finish second in the event. The mark is her PR and improved her #10 at Tufts all-time ranking outdoors. The distance is just outside of the national top 50.

Resting many of their top performers today, Tufts finished the meet with a team score of 59 points for third place. Connecticut College won the New England Division III Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship with a 100 score.

Kaya West had strong performances in the 800 meters today. Both ran PRs, as Dolce was fourth in the event with a 2:14.16 time and West was a tick behind her in fifth with a 2:14.29 mark. Dolce's time was the Jumbos' best 800 of the year, indoors or outdoors.

First-year

Eleanor Lewis finished the heptathlon in sixth place today with her season-best score of 3625 points. She had a 5.08m (16'8") long jump, a 21.40m (70'3") PR in the javelin throw and a 2:42.50 mark in the 800 meters.

Tufts also had senior

Anne-Sophie Janssen near a scoring position in the 400-meter hurdles, where her 1:06.27 mark was 11th.

Tufts will be at the New England Intercollegiate Amateur Athletic Association Championships at Stonehill College, and at Williams College for the F.I.R.E. Meet next weekend.
