Men's Swimming & Diving Finishes Up at NCAA Championship Meet

INDIANAPOLIS – (March 21, 2026) – The Tufts University men's swimming & diving team finished in 25TH place as the 2026 NCAA Division III Swimming & Diving Championships finished at IU Natatorium on Saturday evening.

INDIANAPOLIS – (March 21, 2026) – The Tufts University men's swimming & diving team finished in 25th place as the 2026 NCAA Division III Championships finished at IU Natatorium on Saturday evening.

Junior

Rafae Shafi had Tufts' top performance on Saturday with his 16:03.44 time in the1650 freestyle for 19th place.

In the 100 freestyle today, Tufts senior

Armaan Sikka closed his outstanding career with a time of 44.60 seconds for 21st place. Sophomore

Ron Lyubman posted a lifetime best time of 46.51 seconds in the 100 free to finish in 38th place.

Junior

Jack Nussbaum was in the NCAA 200 breaststroke preliminaries on Saturday morning and submitted a 2:03.38 mark that finished 23rd nationally.

For the second straight day, Tufts had an unfortunate relay result as the 400 freestyle foursome that was seeded eighth in the event was disqualified in the preliminaries.

The Jumbos scored 33 team points this week for their 25th-place NCAA finish.

Five Tufts individuals earned All-American awards. Freshman

Isaac Shang, junior

Will Kaminski, sophomore

Max Gerke and Sikka swam a school-record 1:19.40 in the 200 freestyle relay for All-American honors. Junior diver

Jay Wilkinson was an honorable mention All-American off both boards.
