Osborne Named NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year, Abbott Earns First Team Selection

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team had two players earn First Team All-NESCAC honors in recognition of the 2025-26 season.
Sophomore goalie
Jacob Osborne (Gloucester, Ont) was named NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year in addition to first team honors. Junior
Isaac Abbott (Halifax, N.S.) joined Osborne as a first team selection.
Osborne led the league in almost every goalie category. The sophomore posted a staggeringly low 1.65 goals against average over the span of 23 games and nearly 1400 minutes. Osborne's .941 save percentage sits atop the leaderboard. He co-led the league in shutouts (four) and compiled 610 saves over the season.
Abbott earns All-NESCAC honors for the third straight year in his career. As a first-year and sophomore, Abbott was a second team selection. The defender is in a three-way tie for third on the team in total points (16) and scored four goals with 12 assists. Two of Abbott's four goals were game-winners. The junior is +18 on the season and sits atop the NESCAC leaderboard in plus-minus.
