Women’s Squash Drops Kurtz Cup Opener to No. 14 Georgetown
The No. 19 ranked Wesleyan women's squash team opened the Kurtz Cup (B Division) of the CSA Divisional Championships on Friday with a 9-0 defeat to No. 14 Georgetown. The Cardinals (9-7) will face No. 18 Colby in the consolation flight of the bracket on Saturday at 3 PM.
PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The No. 19 ranked Wesleyan women's squash team opened the Kurtz Cup (B Division) of the CSA Divisional Championships on Friday with a 9-0 defeat to No. 14 Georgetown. The Cardinals (9-7) will face No. 18 Colby in the consolation flight of the bracket on Saturday at 3 PM.
The Cardinals couldn't get much going against the Hoyas as all nine matches went down as 3-0 wins for Georgetown.
Caroline Caiati '28 won the most points on the day for the Cardinals in her match at #8, as she won 20 points in a 11-4, 11-7, 11-9 defeat to Virginia Wood.
Wesleyan looks to get in the win column in the Kurtz Cup on Saturday with a match against Colby. The two sides met all the way back on November 23 in Middletown with the Mules coming away with a 7-2 win.
