Men's golf places third in 2026 NESCAC Championship in Connecticut

EAST HADDAM, Conn. – The Hamilton College Continentals finished in third place out of 10 teams at the 2026 NESCAC Men's Golf Championship at Fox Hopyard Golf Club on Sunday, April 26.
Hamilton posted a four-player team score of 301 for Sunday's final round and finished at 906 for the 54-hole tournament. Williams College captured the team title and the conference's automatic NCAA championship bid with an 878, and Tufts University ended up a distant second at 891. Amherst College and host school Trinity College tied for fourth place two shots behind the Continentals.
Wyatt Lupo '29 led Hamilton with a 1-over-par 72 on Sunday. Lupo made four of his six birdies on the back and carded a 2-under 33 on his last nine holes. His scores got better each day and he finished in a tie for 13
th place out of 50 golfers at 227. Lupo's six birdies on Sunday were the most by any of the Continentals in a round all weekend.
Ramon Aroca Gonzalez '26 birdied two of his first five holes and went out in even-par 36 en route to a 74. Aroca Gonzalez landed in third place by himself at 219.
Jake Hendelman '28 made birdie on the second and fifth holes and was 2-under on his round through 11 and still even par after 14. Hendelman ended up with a 75 and tied for 23
rd place at 233. Just like Lupo, Hendelman's scores improved each round during the event.
