Women's Crew Takes Two of Three From Coast Guard

New London, Conn - Women's crew traveled to the Coast Guard Academy late last night for their Dual against the Bears on the Thames River this morning. Sunny skies and warm temps contrasted with the challenging conditions out on the water. From a 10-15mph headwind, an outgoing tide, and an upstream course, the river provided many opportunities for the athletes not to perform well. Yet, the crews handled the conditions well and in two of the three races, Colby came out on top. Heading into the weekend, Colby was ranked 7th and Coast Guard, 12th. The team heads back to Maine ready to return to the Hume Center and get out on the lake.
