LEWISTON, Maine -- The No. 15 nationally ranked Bates men's lacrosse team is set to host the second and third rounds of the NCAA Division III championship tournament this Friday and Saturday at Garcelon Field.

The Bobcats (11-5) found out they'd been chosen to host during the NCAA selection show Sunday evening.

Bates earns a bye to the second round where they'll take SUNY Cortland, who defeated Western New England 21-5 in their first-round contest. Game time for Friday's second-round game featuring the Bobcats is set for 4 p.m. They will also host a neutral-site second-round game between Hope and No. 17 Ithaca this Friday at 7 p.m.

If Bates prevails on Friday, they'll host the winner of Hope and Ithaca Saturday at 7 p.m. on Garcelon Field.

This is the third time in program history the Bates men's lacrosse team has qualified for the NCAA tournament. They also made it in 2017, when they advanced to the national quarterfinals, and 2015, when they made the "Sweet 16."

Tickets for both rounds MUST be purchased through Eventbrite.
