Schmidt named to New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association D3 Team of the Week
Bates junior Miles Schmidt has been named to the NEILA Division III Team of the Week, as announced Monday by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.

Miles Schmidt has been named to the NEILA Division III Team of the Week, as announced Monday by the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association.
A USA Lacrosse Preseason Third Team All-America selection, Schmidt (Seattle) won a combined 27-44 faceoffs (.614) in wins over Union and Kean to start the year for the Bobcats. He also tallied 16 ground balls on the week as the Bobcats defeated Union in a 14-13 thriller and took care of business with a 15-6 victory over Kean.
The Team of the Week is a new initiative from the NEILA this year that will recognize the best performances by student-athletes across the region. One team of six players will represent Divisions 1 & 2, while six players from Division 3 will be selected for their own Team of the Week. Nominated by coaches, the Teams of the Week are selected by the NEILA Executive Board.
Bates (2-0) is back in action this Saturday when they travel to Wesleyan. The action gets underway at 1 p.m.
