Klatsky (Falmouth, Maine) unleashed a throw of 215-11 (65.82m) to take first place in the javelin on his second-to-last attempt of the day. The toss breaks the previous Bates post-1984 record of 203-4, set by Tyler Harrington '19 in 2017. Steve Ryan '83 holds the overall Bates record at 230-7, but his throw came prior to the javelin's weight being redistributed forward after the 1984 season so it would drop sooner, thus decreasing the distance on throws.

Sophomore Nick Nicolazzo (Wellesley, Mass.) recorded a personal-record distance of 22-5 (6.83m) in the long jump, good for eighth place at the meet and third on the Bates all-time performance list.

Senior captain Ross Tejeda (Milton, Mass.) took third out of 80 runners in the 800 meters in 1:55.94 and first-year Alex Rodgers (Lowell, Mass.) placed fifth in a personal-record time of 1:56.67.

Tejeda was fifth in the 1,500 meters in 3:55.62.

Sophomore JJ Rocha (Cumberland, R.I.) set personal records in the 5,000 meters, where he took sixth in 15:02.69 and the 1,500 meters where he crossed the finish line in 4:02.86.

First-year Everett Shaw (Ithaca, N.Y.) led a 1-2 Bates finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase with his time of 9:40.20. Meanwhile, junior Daniel Cassata (Annandale, Va) placed second in a personal-record time of 9:42.10.

The 4x400 relay team of first-year Briggs Catino (Rye, N.H.), junior Evan Berthiaume (East Greenwich, R.I.), first-year Liam Walsh (West Hartford, Conn.), and senior captain Evan Migdole (Westbrook, Conn.) placed sixth out 14 schools with their time of 3:24.70.

Sophomore Ryan Glaser (Rockport, Maine) was first among collegiate athletes and second overall in the hammer throw with his career-best toss of 175-1 (53.37m). He also set a personal record in the discus with his toss of 137-11 (42.05m).

First-year Aidan Hulsey (Hampden, Maine) debuted in the javelin by taking sixth place with his throw of 165-7 (50.48m).
The Bobcats are back in action next Saturday at the Black and Gold Invitational, hosted by Bryant University in Smithfield, R.I.
