Women's Track & Field Set for St. Francis Fighting Chance Invite This Weekend
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago women's track and field team returns to action this weekend as the Maroons travel to St. Francis (IL) for their penultimate last chance qualifier of the season on Friday and Saturday.

WOMEN'S TRACK AND FIELD NOTES:

UChicago earned a third-place finish in the UAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in their last meet.

The Maroons tallied one individual UAA title and seven All-UAA performances in the meet.
Marina Semple earned the lone UAA title for the Maroons as she won the Long Jump.

During the indoor season, The UChicago women's track and field team earned a trio of All-American awards and brought home a 47th-place finish in the Indoor National Championships this season.

The Maroons are currently ranked #63 in NCAA Division III, #5 in the Midwest Region, and #3 in the UAA by the USTFCCCA.

UChicago enters the weekend with 11 athletes ranked in the top-5 of the UAA, 7 athletes ranked in the top-5 of the Midwest Region, and 7 athletes ranked in the top-25 of the NCAA Division III.
Katja Dunayevich is ranked 11th in NCAA Division III, 1st in the Midwest Region, and 3rd in the UAA in the 10000m Run with a time of 35:13.92.

Dunayevich also ranks 20th in NCAA Division III, 3rd in the Midwest Region, and 5th in the UAA in the 5000m Run with a time of 16:47.06.
Estelle Snider is ranked 12th in NCAA Division III, 2nd in the Midwest Region, and 4th in the UAA in the 10000m Run with a time of 35:18.15.
Marina Semple is ranked 18th in NCAA Division III, 2nd in the Midwest Region, and 1st in the UAA in the Long Jump with a mark of 5.76 meters.
Emma Kelly is ranked 22nd in NCAA Division III, 4th in the Midwest Region, and 3rd in the UAA in the 1500m Run with a time of 4:32.01.
Clara Bennett is ranked 24th in NCAA Division III, 6th in the Midwest Region, and 1st in the UAA in the High Jump with a mark of 1.65 meters.
Alexandra Lohse is ranked 4th in the Midwest Region and 11th in the UAA in the 10000m Run with a time of 36:45.81.

After competing this weekend, the Maroons will travel to Augustana (IL) next week for their final last chance qualifier of the season on May 13 and 14.
