#22 Men's Track & Field Heads to St. Francis for Penultimate Last-Chance Meet
CHICAGO -- The 22nd-ranked University of Chicago men's track and field team returns to action this weekend as the Maroons travel to St. Francis (IL) for their penultimate last chance qualifier of the season on Friday and Saturday.

MEN'S TRACK AND FIELD NOTES:

UChicago won the first outdoor track and field conference title in 109 years this season, taking down Emory to win the first UAA title in program history and the first outdoor conference title since winning the Big Ten in 1917.

The Maroons won six total individual UAA titles and tallied 15 All-UAA performances.
Evan Parker was named the UAA Rookie of the Year, and Head Coach
Chris Hall was named the UAA Coach of the Year.

During the indoor season, the UChicago men's track and field team earned eight All-American awards and brought home a 32nd-place finish in the Indoor National Championships this season.

UChicago enters the weekend with 10 athletes ranked in the top-2 of the UAA, 7 athletes ranked in the top-5 of the Midwest Region, and 6 athletes ranked in the top-25 of the NCAA Division III.

The Maroons are ranked 22nd in NCAA Division III, 4th in the Midwest Region, and 2nd in the UAA this season.
Aryan Shrivastava is ranked 2nd in NCAA Division III, 1st in the Midwest Region, and 1st in the UAA in the Triple Jump with a mark of 15.23 meters.

Shrivastava is also ranked 3rd in the Midwest Region and 3rd in the UAA in the Long Jump with a mark of 6.93 meters.

Additionally, Shrivastava is ranked 2nd in the UAA in the High Jump with a mark of 2.00 meters.
William Floyd is ranked 5th in NCAA Division III, 2nd in the Midwest Region, and 2nd in the UAA in the Pole Vault with a mark of 5.10 meters.
Evan Parker is ranked 16th in NCAA Division III, 5th in the Midwest Region, and 2nd in the UAA in the 10000m Run with a time of 29:51.12.

Parker is also ranked 22nd in NCAA Division III, 6th in the Midwest Region, and 3rd in the UAA in the 5000m Run with a time of 14:16.93.
Sanju Patel is ranked 21st in NCAA Division III, 5th in the Midwest Region, and 2nd in the UAA in the 5000m Run with a time of 14:15.73.
Simon Dixon is ranked 22nd in NCAA Division III, 4th in the Midwest Region, and 2nd in the UAA in the Shot Put with a mark of 16.69 meters.

Dixon is also ranked 1st in the UAA in the Hammer Throw with a mark of 55.61 meters.
Oluwaseyi Kadiri is ranked 5th in the Midwest Region and 1st in the UAA in the Javelin Throw with a mark of 54.66 meters.
Paul Sackman is ranked 1st in the UAA in the 100m Dash with a time of 10.43 seconds.

After competing this weekend, the Maroons will travel to Augustana (IL) next week for their final last chance qualifier of the season on May 13 and 14.
