Softball Heads to Brandeis for Final Series of the Year
CHICAGO -- The University of Chicago softball team will travel to Massachusetts for its final slate of games against the Brandeis University Judges. The teams will play a doubleheader on Friday at 2:30 PM ET and 4:30 PM ET before finishing the season on Saturday at 12 PM ET.

UChicago comes into the week with a 17-19 record overall and a 5-10 record in UAA play after taking the series win over NYU last weekend.

The Maroons have played an incredibly difficult schedule this season, as their strength of schedule ranks #13 in DIII by Massey Ratings.
Natalie Antin earned UAA Hitter of the Week honors this week after reaching base 13 times in 20 plate appearances for UChicago. She recorded 8 hits with a .650 on-base percentage and collected six RBIs.
Audrey Hui leads the team with 19 runs and 44 hits this season. She also leads the team in RBIs with 26 on the year.
Madeline Murphy has been one of the top hitters in the lineup with a .377 batting average and a .444 on-base percentage, leading the team in both categories.

Murphy ranks top-10 in school history in several categories, including Runs (3rd with 102), Games (5th with 144), Stolen Bases (5th with 55), RBIs (9th with 77), and Hits (9th with 148).
Nicole Wong received UAA Pitcher of the Week honors after a perfect 3-0 week in the circle. Wong is 8-9 on the year with a 3.44 era.
Eleanor Johnson has tallied a 7-5 record on the season with a 3.52 ERA, and she has struck out 27 batters on the year. Johnson has thrown a total of 75.0 innings with a 3.55 ERA, and a 1.59 WHIP.
Ruth Kmak has tallied 534 wins in her career with UChicago, ranking 37th among all active coaches in NCAA Division III.
BRANDEIS UNIVERSITY NOTES:

Brandeis comes into the week with a 20-17 record overall and a 7-8 record in UAA play.

The Judges most recently took the series 2-1 against CWRU last weekend.

Brandeis has played four teams in the top 25 in the NFCA Rankings. They are 0-10 in those games.

Brooke Boehmer has been one of the top players for the Judges. She leads the team in batting average with a .412 on the year. Boehmer has collected 42 hits at the plate and has an OPS of 1.174.

In RBIs, Jordan Wallace has been outstanding for Brandeis. The sophomore has recorded 59, with 47 hits and 32 runs.

Erin Hunt has also been key for the Judges. In 36 games, Hunt leads the team in hits with 50 on a .400 batting average.
