Cooper Costello Earns UAA Men's Swimmer of the Week Honors

Costello earned two more B-cuts this weekend to bring his total up to seven in his junior season.
On Friday night, the Goleta, California native swam a time of 47.92 in the 100 Backstroke which ranks #4 in the UAA and #10 in NCAA Division III.
Then, on Saturday night, the chemistry and french double major swam a time of 54.44 in the 100 Breaststroke which ranks #4 in the UAA and #14 in NCAA Division III.
The Athlete of the Week award is the third of the season and fourth of the career for Costello, and it is the tenth Athlete of the Week award for the men's swimming and diving team this season.
Costello and the rest of the UChicago men's swimming & diving team wrapped up their season last week. They will await to see the list of qualifiers for the 2026 NCAA National Championships which will take place from March 18-21 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
