Fong Named UAA Women's Diver of the Week After Two All-America Honors

Veronica Fong brought home a pair of All-America honors en route to earn her first UAA Women's Diver of the Week honor of the season, as announced by the University Athletic Association on Monday afternoon.
Fong was the only UAA women's diver to earn 1st-Team All-America honors in both diving events over the weekend.
On Thursday, Fong placed seventh in the 1-meter competition with a finals score of 419.35, and the West Vancouver, Canada native added a sixth-place finish on Saturday in the 3-meter competition with a score of 455.30.
The Athlete of the Week honor is the first of season and the fifth of the career for Fong. She also becomes the third different University of Chicago women's diver to earn an Athlete of the Week selection, joining
Sumiye Allen and
Lilia Atanda (x4).
The University of Chicago brought home a seventh-place finish from the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championships last weekend.
