Women's Swim & Dive Finishes Seventh at NCAA Championships

INDIANAPOLIS — The ninth-ranked University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team placed seventh at the NCAA Championships, scoring 208.5 points to secure its second consecutive top-eight finish, highlighted by eight All-American performances.

INDIANAPOLIS — The ninth-ranked University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team placed seventh at the NCAA Championships, scoring 208.5 points to secure its second consecutive top-eight finish, highlighted by eight All-American performances.

Alexandra Milisavljevic recorded the first All-American performance of the day for the Maroons. In the 1650 freestyle, the freshman recorded a career-best time of 16:58.59. Her time in the 1,000 broke the UChicago school record as well.

In the 100 freestyle,

Adelia Biello recorded a time of 50.54 to earn a spot in the B-final. The California native swam an impressive 50.32 later on in the evening to earn an 11th-place finish.

The UChicago relay team in the 400 freestyle also recorded a fantastic finish for the Maroons. Swimming in the B-finals during the evening session, the team of

Sophia Xu, and Biello swam a time of 3:23.78 to earn a 10th-place finish in the event.

UChicago's women's diving team showed out on the 3-meter.

Lilia Atanda and

Veronica Fong scored over 440 points each to obtain a ticket to the Championship final. Atanda and Fong took fifth and sixth place in the event. Sophomore

Sumiye Allen punched a ticket to the B-final and ended with an 11th-place performance, scoring 434.00.

UChicago concluded its 2026 championships with a sixth-place finish and more than 20 All-American performances.
