Trio of Women's Divers Qualify for Nationals in 3-Meter Competition

KALAMAZOO -- The 7th-ranked University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team saw all three of their divers qualify for the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship with six top-eight finishes in the Regional meet.

KALAMAZOO -- The 7th-ranked University of Chicago women's swimming & diving team saw all three of their divers qualify for the 2026 NCAA Division III National Championship with six top-eight finishes in the Regional meet.

Veronica Fong finished in third place in the 1-meter with a score of 435.65, and she added a fourth-place finish in the 3-meter competition with a score of 427.70. The 6-time All-American will compete in the Division III National Championships for the fourth time in her career.

Lilia Atanda took home fourth place in the 1-meter with a score of 421.85, and she added a second-place finish in the 3-meter competition with a score of 444.65. The 4-time All-American will compete in the Division III National Championships for the third time in her career.

Sumiye Allen rounded out the national qualifiers with a fifth-place finish and a score of 420.20 in 1-meter, and she added a score of 420.65 in the 3-meter competition en route to an eighth-place finish. The 2-time All-American will compete in the Division III National Championships for the second time in her career.

The trio of divers will set their sights on a National Championships as the meet will begin on Wednesday, March 18, and it will continue through Saturday, March 21 at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Indiana. The official psych sheets for the meet will be released on Monday, March 2.
