The Case Western Reserve University softball team used a six-run first inning to defeat Brandeis University 11-1 in five innings in the finale of a three-game series at Mather Park in Cleveland on Sunday morning.

The Case Western Reserve University softball team used a six-run first inning to defeat Brandeis University 11-1 in five innings in the finale of a three-game series at Mather Park in Cleveland on Sunday morning.

The Spartans improved to 21-12 this season and 9-6 in University Athletic Association games, while the Judges dropped to 20-17 overall and 7-9 in UAA contests.

  • Senior pitcher Devanghi Misra (7-4) tossed her first career complete game, allowing just one run on five hits and two walks with three strikeouts
