Crowley Wins UAA Title, Spartans Place Fifth in Conference

Case Western Reserve University sophomore runner Donovan Crowley won a University Athletic Association Championship to lead the Spartan men's track and field team to a fifth-place finish at the 2026 UAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at DiSanto Field in Cleveland on Sunday.

Case Western Reserve University sophomore runner Donovan Crowley won a University Athletic Association Championship to lead the Spartan men's track and field team to a fifth-place finish at the 2026 UAA Men's Outdoor Track and Field Championships at DiSanto Field in Cleveland on Sunday.

Crowley won the conference title in the 1,500-meter run with a time of 3:51.47, the second-fastest time in program history. Overall, CWRU scored 94.5 points at the two-day meet to place fifth out of seven teams.

Spartan Notes

  • Stipanovich recorded the third-fastest time in program history in the 400-meter dash

  • Sidoti added the fourth-best time ever by a Spartan in the 100-meter dash

  • Anand had the fifth-best mark in the high jump in program history

  • Crowley is the second-ever Spartan to win the conference title in the 1,500-meter run and the first since Logan Singer in 2023

  • CWRU had an All-UAA finish in the 400-meter dash for the second consecutive season, and Stipanovich's runner-up finish is the best by a Spartan in the event since Nathaniel Wahner won the race in 2017

CWRU will take a week off from competition before a contingent of student-athletes will attempt to improve their marks and times for postseason qualification. Their first chance will be at the Harrison Dillard Twilight in Berea, Ohio, on May 7 and 8.
