‘Jacket Pair Named Honorable Mention All-Association

The Yellowjackets wrapped up the year with an 11-14 (4-10 UAA) record, playing one of the toughest schedule in the country, according to efficiency metrics. URochester went 2-0 at the Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, won five-in-a-row over a three-week stretch in late November and early December, and picked up a pair of UAA road wins at Brandeis and Carnegie Mellon, late sweeping the Judges in conference play with a 71-47 Senior Day victory on Feb. 15.
Honorable Mention:
Grace Corelli (SO, G, Bedford, NY/Byram Hills) – 1st All-UAA honor; Rochester's leading scorer, stepped into a bigger role as a sophomore and led the 'Jackets in both scoring and rebounding, averaging 9.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, in addition to 1.8 assists and 0.8 steals per contest in a team-high 27.3 minutes per game. In total, Corelli scored 242 points and added 132 rebounds, playing and starting all 25 contests, shooting 33.5 percent from the floor, 27.6 percent from three and 71.2 percent from the foul line. The sophomore finished top 20 in the UAA in both scoring and rebounding, as well as top 15 in both three-pointers made and defensive rebounds. Corelli scored in double figures 12 times, including a season-high 20 in a 10-point win at Ithaca on Dec. 2, and notched a double-double with 13 points and 11 rebounds in the 'Jackets' 71-47 win over Brandeis on Feb. 15. Corelli was named All-Tournament at both the Chuck Resler Tournament and Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout, earning MVP honors for her efforts against St. John Fisher and Nazareth at the Shootout.
Franki Gomez (GR, G, Pennington, NJ/Hopewell Valley Central) – 1st All-UAA honor; A tenacious, on-ball defender, Gomez returned for a fifth-year and served as one of the Yellowjackets' team captains, appearing in and starting 23 games. Gomez averaged 7.2 points per game on 42.5 percent shooting, adding 3.9 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 0.8 steals per contest. Before an injury limited her to just 15 minutes over Rochester's final three contests, Gomez averaged 25.7 minutes per game and 25.1 mpg in UAA play. Gomez scored in double figures seven times, including a career-high 18 points at No. 1 NYU on Jan. 16, as well as 17 points and seven rebounds on Senior Day against Brandeis on Feb. 15. The Pennington, NJ native also notched a career-high eight assists to go along with 14 points at Ithaca on Dec. 2, kicking off a stretch of three-straight games for Gomez in double figures.
