For the 31st time, Princeton has qualified for the NCAA Division I Women's Lacrosse Tournament and will play Rutgers on May 8 in College Park, Md.. The winner of that game will take on No. 3 seed Maryland in the Second Round on May 10

The Tigers, who earned the Ivy League's automatic bid to the national tournament after a 12-8 win over Yale in the Ivy Tournament Final in New Haven, will be making their third consecutive appearance in the NCAA Tournament. Last year, Princeton knocked off UMass and No. 8 seed Johns Hopkins to reach the Quarterfinals for the first time since 2019 where they fell to eventual national champion North Carolina. Two years ago, a win over Drexel advanced the Tigers to the second round where they were defeated by eventual national champion Boston College

Princeton enters the NCAA Tournament with an 11-6 overall record and on a six-game winning streak that is the 11th-longest active streak in the country. They will be playing Rutgers in a national tournament for the first time since a 12-10 (OT) loss on the consolation final of the 1979 AIAW tournament.
