Women’s Openweight Crew Wins New England Varsity Eight Championship
The MIT women's openweight crew Varsity Eight outlasted Williams and Middlebury in the Women's Varsity Eight Grand Final to claim the New England Women's Varsity Eight Championship on Saturday at the New England Rowing Championships on Lake Quinsigamond. The day was also highlighted by MIT's second-place finish in varsity fours, as all three Engineer boats raced in grand finals.
Men's Lacrosse Falls to No. 4 Babson, 15-9, in NEWMAC Championship
BABSON PARK, Mass. – No. 3 seeded MIT came within one goal late in the second quarter, but top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 4 Babson College pulled away for a 15-9 victory in the NEWMAC Men's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday afternoon at MacDowell Field. At the conclusion of the game, Ashton Axe received the Laurels of Academic Excellence Award which honors the student-athlete with the highest cumulative GPA competing in the NEWMAC Championship.
No. 24 Women's Lacrosse Defeats Coast Guard, 12-5, to Repeat as NEWMAC Champions
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 24 MIT held No. 2 seed U.S. Coast Guard Academy scoreless until early in the third quarter en route to a 12-5 victory in the NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Championship on Saturday afternoon at Jack Barry Field. The Engineers captured the program's second consecutive title and third overall and will be making their fifth appearance in the upcoming NCAA Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship.

Men's Lacrosse Defeats Springfield, 13-8, in NEWMAC Semifinals
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – No. 3 seeded MIT outscored No. 2 seed Springfield College, 11-1, over the course of 35 minutes of action before going on to record a 13-8 victory in the semifinals of the NEWMAC Men's Lacrosse Championship on Thursday night. With the win, the Engineers advanced to the title game for the third time in program history and the first since making back-to-back appearances in 2022 and 2023.
No. 24 Women's Lacrosse Tops Babson, 17-5; Advances to NEWMAC Championship
CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – Top-seeded and nationally ranked No. 24 MIT outscored No. 4 seed Babson College, 9-1, in the first half before going on to defeat the Beavers, 17-5, in the semifinals of the NEWMAC Women's Lacrosse Championship on Wednesday night. With the win, the Engineers will be making their fourth straight appearance in the title game and fifth overall.

Baseball Can't Keep Pace With No. 4 Salve Regina, Falls 16-6 (8 inn.)
No. 4 Salve Regina opened up a 7-1 lead after three innings as the Seahawks cruised to a 16-6 victory in eight innings over the MIT baseball team in a matchup of the top two teams in the NEWMAC standings on Tuesday evening at Stein Diamond on the campus of Brandeis University.
