Navy's women's golf team secured its third consecutive Patriot League Championship, overcoming challenging weather conditions to finish with a three-round score of 32-over-par 896. Junior Emma Tang, who shot a final round 2-over par 74, not only led the team to victory but also claimed her second consecutive individual title, becoming only the third player in Patriot League history to achieve this feat. The Midshipmen finished 11 strokes ahead of second-place Bucknell, marking a significant achievement for the program. Alongside Tang, junior Keira Howard and sophomore Vivian Cressman earned spots on the All-Patriot League First Team, while Megan Kirkpatrick and Angelina Kim received second-team honors, showcasing the depth of talent within the squad.
In squash, Hudson Poirier and Wenqing Tang captured the 2026 U.S. Intercollegiate Doubles Championship, defeating fellow Midshipmen Christian Graziano and Johan Hodgson in the final match. The duo's victory marks the eighth doubles championship for Navy and highlights their strong teamwork throughout the tournament. They navigated a challenging path to the finals, overcoming a tough quarterfinal match against Cornell before advancing due to an injury default in the semifinals. This championship adds to the growing success of Navy's squash program.
Both Navy track and field teams are set to compete at the 130th Penn Relays in Philadelphia this week, one of the oldest and largest track and field competitions in the United States. The event draws over 15,000 athletes and 100,000 fans, providing a significant platform for the Midshipmen to showcase their skills. The competition begins on Thursday and runs through Saturday, with live results available online for fans following the action.
