Bowdoin College men's lacrosse has made history by achieving the No. 1 ranking in the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association for the first time ever. The Bowdoin baseball team is set to compete in the NESCAC Quarterfinals against Middlebury, beginning Friday afternoon. The Polar Bears, who finished the regular season with a 15-18 record and a 5-7 mark in conference play, are the third seed from the East Division. They will face a Middlebury team that has won the last two NESCAC championships. In women's softball, a scheduled doubleheader against the University of Southern Maine was canceled due to inclement weather. The Polar Bears are set to close out their regular season on Saturday with a NESCAC twinbill against Colby College, beginning at noon.
Bowdoin's men's golf team placed sixth at the NESCAC Championship held at Fox Hopyard Golf Club in Connecticut last weekend. The team faced tough competition but managed to secure a respectable finish in the conference.
At the NESCAC Track & Field Championships hosted by Williams College, the Bowdoin men finished fourth overall, marking their best performance at the event since 2018. Charlie Aucoin was a standout, winning both the shot put and discus, becoming the first Bowdoin athlete to win multiple events at the NESCAC Championship since 2018. The women's team placed seventh, with notable performances including second-place finishes from Omar Frostman El-Hmaini in the triple jump and Kane Demers in the 110 hurdles. Bowdoin's relay teams also excelled, with two finishing as runners-up in their respective events.
